We reflect on the past 16 years with great appreciation, thanking Heike for the care and dedication she consistently showed our customers. Within our shipping department she was mainly responsible for managing orders / shipments for our German and other European clients.
 
We will not only miss her warm-hearted nature and sense of humour, but also the truly wonderful memories of her from our company excursions. We also will not forget her athletic endurance and ambition; swimming endless laps in the freezing water of the Grossensee and riding her bike to work every day regardless of the North-German weather.
 
We wish her all the best in her new role as a grandmother, countless exciting trips, and many happy moments with her family.
 
]]><![CDATA[Securing the Supply: Our Ongoing Investment in Epinephrine Access]]>Tue, 17 Mar 2026 09:22:20 GMThttps://www.transopharm.com/blog/securing-the-supply-our-ongoing-investment-in-epinephrine-accessFor us at Transo-Pharm, supply continuity has always been part of our DNA and for our life saving Epinephrine it is truly a matter of the heart. In order to ensure a resilient supply chain for this API, we have already established a 2-year safety stock initiative in order to ensure availability of Epinephrine and to avoid shortages. We are proud to say, that we did not experience any supply problems during the last pandemic.
 
We are now taking the next step toward strengthening our security supply by establishing hameln rds s.r.o. in Modra, Slovakia, as a second manufacturing location. Transo-Pharm has qualified the site and the new CEPs for Epinephrine Base and Bitartrate have already been granted by EDQM (Adrenaline & Adrenaline tartrate) end of 2025. 
Important: We will submit an amendment to our US-DMF by April of this year to add hameln rds s.r.o. as an alternative site.

After more than 11 years with Transo-Pharm, Stefan Bertram retired on March 1st. When Stefan joined the company in 2014, Transo-Pharm had just acquired the Epinephrine business, including the technology, from Boehringer Ingelheim (BI). Stefan took on the crucial role as – “Epinephrine Product Manager” in addition to his country responsibilities within the Sales & Marketing department. He was one of the key figures during the successful transition phase of Epinephrine from BI to Transo-Pharm. As he was the perfect fit for this job, he performed it very successfully until his departure
During his professional life, Stefan established long-term business relationships and friendships within the global active pharmaceutical arena. Colleagues, friends, customers & business partners were impressed by his engaging and professional approach, combined with a friendly, calm and prudent character.
 
We will not only miss a competent and capable manager, but also a friendly and emphatic colleague who always had an open ear for others.
 
The “Transo-Pharm family” wishes him and his family all the best for the future. His grandchildren are already looking forward to spending more time with their “Opa” (grandfather).

Since 2014, Transo-Pharm and the German manufacturer HAPILA GmbH have joined forces to ensure a stable and high-quality supply of Estriol – an essential hormone with global relevance.
 
When demand for micronized Estriol (CEP No.: R1-CEP 2013-277-Rev 00) increased, both companies made a bold move: to invest in the future. In 2019, we decided to expand capacity at HAPILA’s site in Gera, Germany. Just one year later, construction began on a new GMP-compliant facility – now fully operational.
 
The result: a stronger, more resilient supply chain that meets today’s needs and prepares for tomorrow’s.
 
Because innovation is more than new buildings and machines – it’s about partnerships that make reliable therapies possible.

My name is Bennet John and in February 2025 I began my apprenticeship here in Siek.
 
For my first project within the scope of our CO2 reduction program, I had the pleasure of designing the open meadow next to our headquarters. 
The basic concept was to further decrease our CO2 footprint. To make our environment greener we have sown a 500m² of wildflower meadow. Thereby our lovely flying colleagues “Apis (latin for bee)” 🐝have a new office outside the headquarters right next to our charging stations for electric vehicles.
 
We as Transo-Pharm are trying to reach our goal to minimize our CO2 footprint more and more. We are constantly evolving and want to set a positive example for more environmentally friendly coexistence.

And look how much our "little guy" is enjoying the sun and view.

​The district ambulance service in Stormarn, where Transo-Pharm is based, has introduced a heartfelt initiative: every ambulance now carries a comforter teddy to help calm and support children in distressing situations.

Imagine this: a small child, scared and overwhelmed after an accident. Surrounded by unfamiliar faces, strange equipment, and flashing lights, they may not understand what’s happening — only that they’re afraid. That’s where Tommy the teddy bear comes in. Offered by a calm paramedic, this cuddly companion helps break the fear, build trust, and make treatment just a little bit easier.

Research and experience show: when children feel safe, they respond better to care. And early positive interactions with first responders can shape their lifelong trust in healthcare systems.

At Transo-Pharm, we believe healthcare isn’t just about medicine and APIs — it’s about humanity. That’s why we’re proud to support the Stormarn ambulance service by helping fund the purchase of these comforter teddies. It’s a small gesture with a big impact.

We are excited to share that our Epinephrine (Adrenaline) API has received DMF (Drug Master File) approval from the NMPA (National Medical Products Administration) in China. The approval (#Y20190000447) was officially published on the CDE (Center for Drug Evaluation) website on April 16, 2025.
With this important milestone, Transo-Pharm is ready to fully support clients planning to launch formulations containing our Epinephrine API in the Chinese market.
