The BAFA (Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control in Germany) has once again invited to the "Export Control Information Day" December 07, 2023. This information day is taking place for the 15th time and was offered in a hybrid format. We did not miss the opportunity to make our way to Frankfurt am Main in order to get informed on site about the following current topics by BAFA:
Changes have been made in the area of general authorizations for dual-use goods and new general authorizations have been included. The "zero-notice" and the information on the "list of goods" are now valid for two years instead of one year as before.
From 2024, BAFA will charge fees for permits for listed goods. This refers to goods that are listed in the EU Dual-Use Regulation (EU) 2021/821 or in the Anti-Torture Regulation (EU) 2019/125. Applications for these licenses are submitted via the BAFA online portal: ELAN K2. Another important item on the agenda was the current sanctions against Russia. The 12th sanctions package, which came into force on December 18, 2023, strengthens measures to prevent circumvention exports, among other things. This year, we have also received a comprehensive overview of the innovations and prospects in the BAFA's areas, even if not everything applies to Transo-Pharm. Greeting from Transo-Pharm Logistics Catharina Schneider and Ulrike Struve
